ประชาชน ไทยได้เขียนจดหมายเปิดผนึกฉบับหนึ่ง เตรียมยื่นต่อนายบัน คี มูน เลขาธิการสหประชาชาติ (UN) ที่จะเดินทางเยือนประเทศไทยในวันที่ 26 ตุลาคมนี้ เรียกร้องให้ UN เร่งเข้ามาตรวจสอบข้อเท็จจริงการสังหารผู้เรียกร้องประชาธืปไตยในไทย และรีบระงับยับยั้งการสังหารหมู่ผู้ปราราถนาประชาธิปไตย
เนื้อความ ในหนังสือได้กล่าวถึงกรณีรัฐบาลเผด็จการชุนดูฮวานล้อมปราบสังหารหมู่ประชาชน ผู้เรียกร้องประชาธิปไตยในเมืองกวางจู ประเทศเกาหลีใต้ เมื่อวันที่ 18 พฤษภาคม 2523 ด้วยว่า เหตุการณ์ทำนองเดียวกันนี้ได้เกิดขึ้นในประเทศไทย
พร้อมทั้งได้เชิญชวนให้ร่วมลงนามในหนังสือฉบับนี้ โดยแจ้งชื่อ นามสกุล หน่วยงาน(ถ้ามี)ส่งกลับไปยังคุณรุ่งโรจน์ วรรณศูทร

โดยจดหมายเปิดผนึกดังกล่าวมี 4 ภาษาประกอบด้วย ภาษาไทย อังกฤษ และเยอรมัน ดังความละเอียดต่อไปนี้

เรื่อง ข้อเรียกร้องเพื่อความเป็นธรรมและประชาธิปไตย
เหตุการณ์ อันเป็นที่เจ็บปวด และจดจำของประชาชนเกาหลีในวันที่ 18 พฤษภาคม 1980 ณ เมืองกวางจู ได้เกิดขึ้นซ้ำแล้วซ้ำอีกและกำลังเกิดขึ้นในประเทศภาคีสมาชิกองค์การสหประชา ชาติ เพื่อพิทักษ์สันติภาพและความเที่ยงธรรมแห่งสหประชาชาติ เช่นในประเทศไทยแห่งนี้ เหตุการณ์ล่าสุดในลักษณะเดียวกันนั้นเพิ่งเกิดขึ้นเมื่อวันที่ 19 พฤษภาคม 2010
เราในนามประชาชนไทยผู้รักเสรีภาพ รักสันติ ความเสมอภาคเท่าเทียม และประชาธิปไตย ขอส่งผ่านข้อเรียกร้องให้องค์การที่เป็นความหวังหนึ่งของมวลหมู่มนุษยชาติ แห่งสหัสวรรษใหม่ เข้าตรวจสอบข้อเท็จจริง และระงับยับยั้งการสังหารหมู่ผู้ปราราถนาประชาธิปไตย ซึ่งมีความคิดเห็นไม่ตรงกันกับหลักนโยบายแห่งรัฐและคณะรัฏฐาธิปัตย์ของ ประเทศไทยในปัจจุบัน
ขอแสดงความนับถืออย่างสูง

Your Excellency Ban Ki Moon, the United Nations General Secretary, with respect;
Subject: Request for Justice and Democracy
The events, which are similar to the Gwangju massacre of 18-27 May, 1980, which is painful to, and recognized by Korean people, have repeatedly occurred, and are happening within member countries of the United Nations. To preserve Peace and Justice uphold by the United Nations, we, the Thai people, wish to remind the World of the similar event, which has had just happened in Thailand this year, the 13-19 May, 2010.
We, in the name of Thai people who adore Freedom, Peace, Equality, and Democracy, wish to transfer our request to the organization, which is a hope for the Humanity of the new millennium. We wish that the United Nations would initiate a fact investigation, and prevent the massacre of the people, who desire democracy, and disagree with the state policy of the current Thai juntas.

Betrifft: Antrag für Gerechtigkeit und Demokratie
Die Ereignisse, die ähnlich dem Massaker von Gwangju der 18 bis 27 Mai 1980, die schmerzhaft ist, und erkannte durch koreanische Volk, haben wiederholt aufgetreten ist, und sind innerhalb der Mitgliedsländer der Vereinten Nationen geschieht. Die Wahrung des Friedens und des Rechts durch die Vereinten Nationen zu wahren, wir, das thailändische Volk, wollen die Welt der ähnliche Veranstaltung, die gerade in Thailand passiert in diesem Jahr, den 13 bis 19 Mai 2010 erinnern.
Wir, im Namen des thailändisches Volk, Freiheit, Frieden, Gleichheit und Demokratie verehren, wollen unsere Anforderung an die Organisation, die eine Hoffnung für die Menschheit des neuen Jahrtausends ist, übertragen. Wir wünschen, dass die Vereinten Nationen eine Ermittlung für die Tatsache einzuleiten, und verhindern, dass die Massaker an den Menschen, deren Wunsch nach Demokratie widerspricht der staatlichen Politik der aktuellen Thai Juntas.

Objet: Demande de Justice et la Démocratie
Les événements, qui sont similaires au massacre de Gwangju 18 au 27 mai 1980, ce qui est douloureux pour, et reconnue par les Coréens, ont maintes fois eu lieu, et se produisent dans les pays membres de l'Organisation des Nations Unies. Afin de préserver la paix et la justice confirme par l'Organisation des Nations Unies, nous, le peuple thaïlandais, tenons à rappeler au monde de l'événement similaire qui a eu juste arrivé en Thaïlande cette année, le 13 au 19 mai 2010.
Nous, au nom du peuple thaïlandais qui adorent la liberté, la paix, l'égalité et la démocratie, à transférer notre demande à l'organisation, qui est un espoir pour l'humanité du nouveau millénaire. Nous souhaitons que les Nations Unies d'ouvrir une enquête fait, et empêcher le massacre du peuple, qui désirent la démocratie, et en désaccord avec la politique de l'Etat de la junte actuelle Thaïlande.
